Context and challenge
A food company with three adjacent plants needed a centralized industrial intrusion detection system capable of simultaneously protecting production areas, warehouses and offices operating across multiple shifts. The complexity of the project stemmed from the need to maintain operational continuity, possible interference with existing machinery and networks, and the integration of alarm contacts, volumetric detectors and perimeter sensors without interrupting production. It was therefore essential to ensure high levels of security, system reliability and centralized management capable of monitoring all three plants in real time.
Solution
QUAD IMPIANTI designed and installed a customized industrial intrusion detection system integrated via fiber optics, with sensors and detectors calibrated to minimize false alarms. The industrial approach made it possible to create a centralized system capable of managing different surveillance schedules across the various areas, reducing interference with machinery and allowing maintenance without stopping production. The system therefore provides advanced security, operational continuity and future scalability.
