Context and challenge
An agency dedicated to economic development and industrial innovation in Trentino needed a new purpose-built CED (Data Processing Center) to support companies located in its technology hubs and to host shared servers for startups, public bodies and some local production activities. It was essential to ensure operational continuity, data security and the ability to manage high loads, as the CED would support data science applications, simulations and critical internal services.
Solution
QUAD IMPIANTI built a reliable, modular and scalable CED infrastructure designed to ensure uninterrupted operational continuity. The system features redundant power supply, with UPS units and generators, automatic fire suppression systems using oxygen-elimination chambers, and a modular layout that allows targeted maintenance without affecting operations. The project included strategic consulting and specialized labor, optimizing cabling, racks and energy management. The new CED supports complex calculations and the management of large volumes of data, ensuring high levels of security, energy efficiency and future scalability.
