Context and challenge
A motorway management company needed to improve the management of water contaminated by oil and fuel in several high-traffic tunnels. Although the existing oil-water separators were effective in separating oil from water, their monitoring systems were obsolete, with no centralized control and no reliable tools for level supervision. The challenge was to automate filters and control units, improve operational safety and ensure continuous monitoring of wastewater, reducing the risk of spills and simplifying maintenance.
Solution
QUAD IMPIANTI designed and implemented a complete automation solution integrating digital level probes, an automatic control unit and an intuitive user interface for real-time supervision of the system’s operating status. Thanks to this solution, separator management became safe, reliable and fully traceable, allowing personnel to easily monitor and control filtration and tank levels while ensuring operational continuity and compliance with environmental regulations.
