Context and challenge
An electricity grid operator needed to verify the correct connection of new users without depending on the customer being present. Technicians were required to wait for the user to perform meter rotation tests, resulting in delays, inefficiencies and a risk of errors. The challenge was to develop a portable, standardized tool capable of performing fast and reliable tests directly in the field, ensuring service continuity and safety.
Solution
QUAD IMPIANTI developed a test case with magnetic cables and an integrated simulated load, capable of connecting to the meter and immediately verifying correct operation. The serial production of 50 units equipped all the company’s technicians, turning a critical operation into an automated and repeatable routine. Thanks to this tool, interventions can be carried out even when the customer is absent, reducing time and costs and increasing the reliability of the connection process.
